Dan Chartier, Ph.D.

Dr. Dan Chartier, is a NC Licensed Practicing Psychologist – Health Service Provider and has been in private practice in Raleigh, NC since 1983. In addition to his experience as a psychotherapist he is a pioneer in the field of Biofeedback including the use of EEG Neurofeedback (NFB) in the outpatient clinic setting.

Dr. Chartier began working in neurofeedback and quantitative electroencephalogram (QEEG) technology in 1990. He is a recognized leader in the field. He was honored in 1999 with election to the presidency of the International Society for Neurofeedback and Research, a, professional society for Neurofeedback researchers and clinical service providers. Dr. Chartier currently serves on the Board for The Society for Advanced Brain Analysis (SABA), and The QEEG Certification Board.

Dr. Chartier is a Senior Fellow and certified specialist in Biofeedback and Neurofeedback by the Biofeedback Certification Institute of America (BCIA) and is a Certified Diplomate QEEG Technologist.

In his work with clients Dr. Dan utilizes an individualized, multi-modal approach which can incorporate talk therapy, biofeedback, neurofeedback, EMD/R, Nexalin, trauma resolution and other cognitive- behavioral methods. A guiding principal for his work is the idea that the best psychology is based in common sense. Helping clients achieve practical solutions to problems, resolution of past worries, and achievement of peak performance is his ongoing objective.

Lucy Chartier, Ph.D., NP, APRN-BC

Dr. Lucy Chartier holds a doctorate in clinical psychology and advanced education as a psychiatric/mental health clinical nurse specialist and nurse practitioner. She has been in private practice since 1984.

Dr. Chartier’s areas of interest and expertise include early childhood development and parenting; humanistic education; and enhancement of human potential through the lifespan. Her commitment is to assist her clients in the recovery of Self, in the process of self-regulation, and in the positive manifestation of intention. Her interest in treatment for brain injury and other clinical presentations arising from inefficient brain functioning developed during four years of work in the field of neuropsychiatry. She began working with Biofeedback and Neurofeedback in 1996.

As a nurse practitioner, Dr. Chartier prescribes and manages adult patients’ psychiatric medications when necessary to contribute to the total treatment plan of promoting optimal patient mental/emotional health. Yet she remains committed to utilizing the most natural and organic approach to neurochemical support, including the use of non-pharmaceutical products and supplements, diet, and exercise to target imbalances and address clinical complaints. Dr. Chartier will collaborate with other  providers involved in patients' health service as necessary to coordinate care. Through her assessment, recommendations can be tailored to each patient’s individual needs.

Dr. Chartier is a humanistic psychotherapist with a concentration in Cognitive-Behavioral therapy. She is a Fellow and certified specialist in Neurofeedback by the Biofeedback Certification Institute of America (BCIA), and a SABA certified QEEG Technologist. Additionally she is a certified specialist in child/adolescent psychiatric and mental health nursing and a certified adult psychiatric and mental health nurse practitioner by the American Nurse’s Credentialing Center.

Liza Chartier, MEd

Liza provides administrative and management support to Life Quality Resources.

Liza also provides services in the office as a Nexalin Certified Technician (NCT) and as a Play Attention provider, interacting with patients on a daily basis during the therapy process.
