We provide participants with a variety of components in the LQRP:

Program Components

The intake process for the LQRP includes a comprehensive assessment consisting of an evaluation of current level of functioning, abilities, limitations, and personal goals. A multi-channel quantitative EEG with normative data base analysis, neurobehavioral, and neurocognitive assessments are central components of the evaluative process. Applicants with appropriate assessment results are offered the opportunity to enroll in the LQRP.
Based on evaluation results, individual treatment plans are developed which can include the following: Neurofeedback, cognitive-behavioral therapy, group therapy, individual therapy, family therapy, family education, pain management, cranial mobilization therapy, and life skills training.

The course of treatment follows an intensive 75 hour process. Each day of the outpatient program consists of two to six hours of treatment activity. A typical day may include the following, depending on the needs/limitations of the client:

  • Morning discussion
  • Neurofeedback training
  • Cognitive-Behavioral therapy
  • Individual therapy or training
  • Afternoon discussion
  • Specialized treatment

Another important element in the treatment process is the option for the training of a spouse, family member or other care giver who can then assist the client in continuing his or her skill development after the 75 hour intensive. When additional treatment is indicated, this care giver will learn how to conduct computer-assisted Neurofeedback training. Equipment is available for lease or purchase for ongoing home training use.
